Abstract

The region known as the Legal Amazon has the states with the highest female homicide rates in Brazil during the past decade. Numerous Amazonian states also occupy prominent positions in the national rankings for femicide and physical harm resulting from domestic violence. The extensive geographical distances, the lack of substantial state measures to deter aggressiveness, and the pervasive inadequacy of infrastructure to assist victims foster an ideal setting for systemic, ongoing violence that escalates year. This study will present a quantitative examination of this scenario, utilizing data from the Brazilian Public Security Forum spanning 2015 to 2023. Subsequently, we will suggest a solution to the challenges faced by women victims of violence in accessing justice, drawing on the experience of the Rondônia State Court of Justice, which involves the development of a digital technology for the online implementation of Urgent Protective Measures. The initial findings indicate that, in addition to legislative improvements, the establishment of new and inclusive pathways to justice is crucial for enabling more women to utilize judicial networks to safeguard their rights.
