Ideologia 3. Imprensa feminina Abstract VERSE AND REVERSE OF WOMEN’S DISCOURSE Language is a dynamic and productive system, a tool for communication that carries cultural, social and ideological traits. Interested in effecting such verification, we will try to discuss, in this work, some of the significant changes in women’s discourse that accompanied the changes in the role of women as an element of society, taking care to verify that these changes processed in the transmission of the speech in question may have parallel the important "achievements" that women reached from the 50's, when the Feminist Revolution occurred. Our allowance for the proposed work consists in an article of the magazine named O Cruzeiro (1955) - Self-criticism - Section Woman for Women - and in another that addresses the same subject belonging to Marie Claire magazine (July 1999) - Men at work. In these articles, dating from different periods and, therefore, supported by different ideological thoughts, we will try to operationalize the survey of some terms which use have been changed over the years. Key-words: 1. arguments 2. ideology 3. women’s press
